Daily activities are an important part of providing a good quality of life for our residents. Our activities help enhance our residents’ physical, spiritual, social, intellectual, and creative needs. We provide a variety of large group, small group, one to one, and individual activities covering a broad range of interests and abilities. Scheduled activities include, but are not limited to: exercise group, sewing club, bingo, sports, outings, church/mass, entertainment, parties, social groups, trivia and other games, men’s group, Red Hat Club, gardening, arts & crafts, cooking, and shopping. Activity supplies for independent activities, such as puzzles, library books, music, and crafts, are available in the activity room and activity office. Residents are also encouraged to attend the monthly Resident Council meeting, where any general issues and preferences can be addressed. Each month, residents are provided with a monthly newsletter, activity schedules, and lunch and supper menus.
We also have a beauty/barber shop. Residents may have their hair done by our house beautician, who has many years of experience as a beautician in long-term care settings. Our facilities are also available if you wish to use a beautician of your choice.
