LaVerna Village has developed an excellent wound care team that strives, not only for prevention of wound development, but also treatment of wounds that individuals arrive to our facility with. Services we provide include:

  • Full-time Wound Care Nurse with extensive training
  • Wound care inter-disciplinary team that meets weekly to evaluate progress.
  • Capability of Wound -Vac placement in conjunction with KCI
  • Pressure Redistribution Equipment
  • Whirlpool Therapy
  • Trained Staff available 24/7
  • Continuous education for staff on all currently available treatments.
  • We provide treatment for post-surgical wounds, pressure ulcers, venous and arterial ulcers, to name a few.

 

Brandy Meers Earns the WCC, Wound Care Certified, Credential

National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy is pleased to announce that Brandy Meers has successfully passed the national certification exam to become Wound Care Certified (WCC). The WCC credential is a nationally recognized certification, which is highly regarded and held by the most professional wound care clinicians in the United States.

The WCC credential is a multidisciplinary certification available to licensed wound care professionals from across the healthcare continuum. This certification affirms that Brandy Meers, LPN, WCC; possesses the qualifications to deliver the highest standard in wound care to her patients.

About Brandy Meers, WCC

Brandy received her nursing degree at the Atchison Technical School in 1999. She is currently employed at LaVerna Village Nursing and Rehab in Savannah, MO, where she is the Assistant Director of Nursing, Wound Care Nurse and Clinical Supervisor.
